4th of July weekend

We just got back from FIREWORKS!! We went with some friends (whom of course invited some friends) and there was 11 boys and 2 girls. We watched them from the park and the kids had enough space to run around and be crazy. It was fun being at the fireworks with friends but I LOVED it when all of my kids snuggled up with Jac and me during the fireworks. I sure do love my family!!

The fireworks were cool this year. There were heart shaped fireworks, swirls, and even smiley faces. But I think my favorite ones this year were the gold shimmery ones....and especially during the "finale" they popped one gold firework after another and it was just beautiful!

Tomorrow, we'll head to church and have a BBQ with some friends. I truly love living in Colorado and have been blessed with great friends.

I am also very grateful to live in this country. I am so grateful for the freedoms I have and am truly indebted to those who made it possible. Thank you!

10/13: Ethan being a little boy....has lately been obsessed with poop. =) He has been playing with his teddy-bear and said it was his son and he needed to go poop. So, he put him on the potty and his "son" went poop. Ethan imitated it by "Poop...poop, poop."

8/20: Ethan making up a song and singing:

"Once I was in the store, and I couldn't find my family, and so now I'm in yours." Sad but funny.

8/7: Emery: "Daddy's don't get tired because Daddy's don't have babies."

6/1: Me: "Emmy, do you want a grilled cheese sandwich?"
Emery: "Yes, Mom."
Me: "Ethan, do you want a grilled cheese sandwich?"
Ethan: "No, I want a boy-cheese sandwich."
I guess I said it more like a "girl-cheese sandwich" instead of a grilled cheese sandwich.

5/8: Ethan went to Old Navy with me. I said, "Ethan, I'm so glad you are going to come with me." He said, "I like you, Mom." So I said, "Thank you, my son." Then Ethan said, "You're my favorite Mom."

2/24: Ethan just finished brushing my hair. I told him thank you and he looked at me and smiled and said, "You look like a princess."

2/18: Ethan picked his nose and had a boogie. I told him "Don't wipe it on the blanket." And he answered me, with a tilted head, "Don't eat it?"

1/26: Emery was looking in my mouth and noticed my fillings. It was a good time to teach about dental hygiene. A moment later, she was jumping on me. I told her to stop and then she said, "Sorry, I don't want to hurt your fillings." She laughed. She thought she was so funny.

1/14: Emery and Ethan were exercising and Ethan said: "Mom, feel my heart!" And after I checked it...Ethan said: "My heart is getting bigger, Mom!"

12/30: Jac: "Hey, buddy, be careful...don't pinch."
Ethan: "Hey, dad, you don't have skin."

12/26: Ethan: "I have to go potty, weally bad."

12/17: Emery: "I'm not afraid of anything because all the dinosaurs are dead. They just have dinosaur bones, so yeah...I'm not afraid of anything, not even the dark."
