Another Milestone!

Today, the 28th of August, Preston took his first steps! I am his mother, so I have bragging rights. =P I put him about two steps away from the edge of my bed, and two steps he took! Wohoo!!! So, hopefully this will be one of many....I hope it wasn't good luck. But anyway, he took his first steps. Way to go Presters!!!!

Coloring Tees

At Snowbird, the kids did an activity.  They colored Snowbird t-shirts.  Everyone's was different and unique.  Ethan loved drawing on his shirt.  He was a natural artist...and let my mom be bossed around while he pointed (non-stop) to what marker he wanted.  His turned out so well.  Emery's did also!  She got so creative and after she had put the marker dots all over her shirt, she colored purple in-between the dots - so she would have a purple tee instead of white.  She even was coloring after everybody was finished with theirs...and everyone waited patiently until she was done.  Man, you must be loved!  Thanks Mom and Dad for getting the t-shirts!

Graham Crackers and Milk (with ice)

For as long as I can remember, my dad has always had graham crackers with milk (and ice) every night before he goes to bed.  When we were at Snow Bird, a little "someone" joined him...and his name is Ethan!  Ethan loved spending this time with his Grandpa.  So here's to graham crackers and milk!

My "Try to be Daily" Run/Jog

Some people might say that this is an easy "jog." But for me, it is truly a workout that makes my legs weak by the end of it.  I can say that I have never been a runner in my entire life.  Which I wouldn't be lying.  But my cute hubby has suggested that I give running a go, and to my surprise I quite like it.  I am trying to build up so I can run farther, so this is a start.  I pretty much wake up around 6 in the morning and do my little "run" before Jac goes to work.  So far, I am confidant with 1 mile....and you have to start somewhere, right?   It isn't far but I can feel that I am a happier person because of it.

Don't eat President Monson!

When we were at Snow Bird, we had Family Home Evening.  Nate, my bro, prepared a little lesson about a favorite prophet, and he taught us about President Monson.  It was really neat to hear stories about our prophet.  Then my mom had a game afterwards.  She had bought a big M&M basket from an auction and played a game with these M&M's.  So, one person would step out and we would put a handful of M&M's on a plate.  We would decide which M&M would be "Pres. Monson" and then the person who stepped out would have to pick out the M&M's one by one until they picked the M&M that was deligated as "Pres. Monson" and then everyone would scream "Don't eat Pres. Monson!"  What a fun game and we ate lots of M&M's.  mmmm.....I loved spending time with my family.

Highland Fling

Jac and I decided to take the kids to the Highland Fling festivities.  It was a lot of fun!  We went to the parade in the morning, hung out with Jac's family and listened to the music and explored, and then at night watched the fireworks.  These fireworks are shot off right behind my in-laws house and the fireworks are amazing!  They are so close that we even get the debris flying in our faces.   And talk about HUGE firework display...they never let us down.

Who is that couple?

Cute kids!

Lexi got her face painted as a Tiger
Here is my little Tiger giving a ferocious growl.  Grrrr....
Ethan loved looking at himself and he is looking at his reflexion in Jac's glasses.
Lexi, Emmy and Ethan at the fling.  Emmy got her face painted as a unicorn.  Say Cheese!

Em's First Day of Dance!

Last night Emery could not get to sleep because she was so excited for her dance class.  She calls it her ballet class.  She will be introduced to ballet and tap.  A lady in the neighborhood does it from her garage and several girls Emery's age are in the class.  I am so excited!
