Talking Up A Storm

I caught Preston when he was talking away. He is growing up so fast! For the past two nights now, Preston has been sleeping the whole night through! (It is a great feeling to wake up having a full nights sleep) He is almost sitting up, rolls around everywhere, scoots himself backwards, loves to put anything in his mouth, and has a golden smile. I think my favorite thing he does is when you're holding him infront of you and he grabs your face with both hands. We love our baby boy! Jac feels "oh so proud" of his son, that at almost 6 months, he can say "dad." =P

Nickelcade

On Friday, we had a party at Jac's work. There was pizza and rock band and for those who wanted could go to the arcade...henceforth: Nickelcade. We had a blast! Ethan stayed on this boat since he first layed eyes on it. He loved it because he could stay in the boat and still drop a nickel in the machine to start it. What a silly boy!

Flip-flops

Flip flops....I have many friends who would call them "thongs" but I never adopted such "obscene" language. (just kidding, I love my friends) =P So let me just start off by saying today, we went to the store...and we all got flip flops! We went to the store and spent the rest of our, Jac and mine's, birthday money. Jac found many shirts, a pair of pants and of course...flip flops! I wasn't so fortunate, but I did get a shirt and 2 pairs of flip flops. Can you tell we are ready for it to be warm? =) So, at the end of the day...we all wore our flip flops on our way to bed. wohoo!

Emery was having fun with the camera and graciously took pictures of all our flip flops. Here are some shots of her photography.

Tea Party

For the past 2 days, Ethan has been boycotting his naps. After fighting with him for so long, I've given up...well, at least for today. Emery wanted her tea party kit and as far as I know she was just playing with Ethan. Next thing I knew, they had gone downstairs and had gotten "snacks" for their tea party. I layed a blanket down...and they are truly enjoying their tea party. I had to write because it was a "sweet and tender mom moment." I just thought it was cute that (1) they were actually playing together and (2) they had the exact same food on each plate (which consisted of a chocolate heart, M&M's, smarties, a kitkat bar, and a mint) I love my kids!

Tulip Festival

We had such a wonderful day today! We went to Thanksgiving Pointe and spent the day with family and friends at the Tulip Festival. The flowers were beautiful but I think I loved spending time with family much more! My friend got us in for half off and off we went. Thank you! There is a place in the gardens where they call it the "Secret Garden" the kids loved playing in the fountain. It was actually warm today, yeah! So it wasn't so bad that the kids got soaking wet. After looking at the flowers, we ate lunch. I had such a delightful time...and I am so grateful that I have a wonderful family and great friends. They truly are a blessing.

Jac's Birthday Bash

Jac's Birthday Bash (continued)

We had so much fun! Jac's birthday was yesterday and we truly partied all day long. He had to go to work but then we picked him up to go to lunch. He wanted to go to Zupas (a gourmet soup cafe) and it was really quite good. He had a Wild Mushroom Bisque and I had a Tomato Basil soup mixed with Cauliflower soup....mmmm...it was yummy. Yet it was nothing short of Ethan spilling his rootbeer and Preston grabbing my bowl of soup and spilling it. Then after work we headed over to Tyler and Kari's house had hogi's and strawberry shortcake and then we to a place called Jump On It. It is a place where there are tons of trampolines and you jump to your hearts content! The kids had a ball...and so did we. Thank you Tyler and Kari for hanging out with us. Happy Birthday Jacob Wright!

My Birthday Dinner

A couple of my friends and I went out to eat for my birthday. It was so fun! Jac stayed home with Emmy and Ethan which confirmed again that I have the greatest husband in the world. I'll have you guess where we went for dinner:

That's right, we went to Pier 49. Bet you couldn't guess that, ha! Pizza is my favorite! Thank you so much for the wonderful evening.

Let's go fly a kite

The other day, Ethan saw a shark kite flying in the neighborhood. We looked at it for quite awhile and Eth would say "shar" "high." The next morning Ethan woke up wondering where the shark was....and was disappointed not to see the shark flying high in the sky. So on my quick dash to the store, I picked up a shark kite. I showed it to him and he said "Shar" "Me." Finally, yesterday I looked outside and it was a bit windy and so we took the shark kite out for his first test run. Let's just say it was a bit too windy. We got the shark up but the wind was going in 5 different directions that pretty much all the shark did was twirl around in circles and nose dived. haha, it was pretty funny....and the kids loved flying a kite. We also played on the playground! Ethan was so proud to climb the "rock mountain" and I love Emmy's face when she tried the monkey bars all by herself!

Mission: Organization

Jac was getting frustrated that the kids room was disorganized, and he didn't know where to find anything....soon I felt the same way. So I had an idea in my head, and went to go venture at the store to live out my idea. I got a little bookcase that I thought would work and that my fabric boxes would fit nicely into. But I put together and the boxes didn't fit! So, I had to rethink my idea. So here was the beginning:

And here is the end result:

I cleaned out their toys and put them in large tuperware boxes and put them in the closet. So, half of their closet acts as a play area. The bookcase I got has a door, so the books don't seem to be the clutter. I am quite happy about it. I also bought them bed sheets at Target. If anyone is interested, take a look: http://www.target.com/Toddlers%E2%80%99-4-pc-Bedding-Set-Pink/dp/B000M9FILU/qid=1207250404/ref=br_1_6/601-5252909-5520105?ie=UTF8&node=13552061&frombrowse=1&rh=&page=1
Don't worry I got Ethan the blue set...no pink for my boy. =P
This is just the beginning of their room makeover. I believe my next stop will be....IKEA.
