Rodeo

Yes, we went to a Rodeo.  My parents took us along...and it was even better that my bro and his family was in town.  We had two hot dogs that cost $3.75 each, a bottle of water that was 2 dollars and a HUGE Navajo Taco that was a whoppin $7.  Can you say expensive?  Needless to say, it was really FUN!

I would have taken more pics but I forgot I had the camera and then my camera died on me.  Bummer! But enjoy the photos.

Jac's New Office

Before we headed to the Ogden Rodeo for the 24th of July, we stopped and picked up Jac at his new office!  We were so excited to visit him.  So, here are the pics from his office.  I am so proud of him and all that he does.  I love it that he can provide for our family so that I can stay home.  Love ya babe!

The entrance to his work space

The entry way.  You just go up the stairs, and wa-laa...his office.

We bought this "Money" tree.  So hopefully, it will bring us good luck.

Colter Bay: Day 4 & 5

We went and visited Jackson.  Some of the guys went four-wheeling in the morning.  We got some yummy ice cream, visited shops, and hung out at the park in the center of town.  We then headed to go the Bar J Wranglers.  These guys are awesome!  We had a cowboy meal along with a live show....to cowboy songs, humor and even yodeling!  We got home late and the next morning headed back home.  We went through Idaho falls and it was soooo beautiful!  We stopped by Frontier Pies and got a Strawberry Pie, which is to die for.  MMMmmmmm.....

Colter Bay: Day 3

Colter Bay: Day 1 and 2

We ventured up  to Colter Bay and drove the six almost seven hours to get there.  The kids were great driving up there.  I had gotten car sick, so we stopped frequently.  Right when we left, Emery said she needed to go and so we stopped in at my parents to use their "potty" and 20 min. later we were back on the road.  It is just so nice to get away for awhile.  So pretty much "Day 1" was driving.  It was so pretty to see the beautiful mountains and we caught a glimpse of some buffalo.  We got there and my sister-in-law cooked us up some dinner....and we had made it!
Day 2 - We woke up and got ready to go on a hike.  Jac and the guys went fishing.  We hiked to a pond where it was full of huge lily pads.  Jac's mom hooked up the kids with a vacation pack that she got each of her grandkids a little backpack filled with a hat, bandana, binoculars, sun glasses, a pen, bug catching stuff, a kazoo and harmonica. (I'm sure I've missed stuff...but needless to say, a week worth of fun) The hike was fun and the kids actually did pretty well.  We hung around and enjoyed nature...and then we had tin foils for dinner.  We ate pretty late because we had a lot of "green" wood and it took forever to catch!  So, it tasted soo good because we were hungry.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

This year for the Fourth of July we went and saw our local baseball team play!  It was so much fun and hot.  We went with my family and just enjoyed being together.  We walked around and even enjoyed a SnoCone.  - what is a baseball game without a little SnoCone, right? - The fireworks were amazing (even with the music blasting in our ears!)  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!  I am so grateful for all of the people who made (and still make) sacrifices for our freedom.  Thank you!

I love this picture of my Grandpa with his baseball hat on.

Doesn't Thabo look handsome

Ethan wanted me to take a close up on his "light" ball and it actually didn't turn out too bad!

I love my Emery!

Daddy Date

As many of you know, I am hooked on the "Twilight" series...so to speak. I am on the third book, and am still loving it. One night Jac took the kids out on a "date" and I stayed home READING! It was so enjoyable! (Never in my life had I thought that I could enjoy reading)...so I guess there is a first for everything. Here are some pictures that are from the daddy date.

Craziness!!!

So, I was in a hurry and had to go upstairs and get something.  Preston was crying because of course, I put him down.  So, I dashed upstairs and I noticed Preston's cry was somewhat closer than before.  I looked down the stairs and he was climbing UP the stairs!  How in the world did he learn that?  Craziness!!!  I'm not quite sure if I am ready for this next baby phase.  My baby is growing up.  I guess I just have a smart handsome boy. =)

*I would post a picture of this, and I did capture Preston's success...but Jac is out of town helping out with Youth Conference, and he took the camera. Till next time.*

I've been tagged.

1. Pick up the nearest book to you (one of at least 123 pages).
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people.
I have been reading the first book of the "Twilight" series.  I can't put it down.  I'm addicted.  This evening, actually, Jac has taken the kids on a date so I could have some time to read my book.  What a great hubby!  So here is my book:

"That's Sam - he's nineteen." He informed me.
"What was he saying about the doctor's family," I asked innocently.
"The Cullens? Oh, they're not supposed to come to the reservation."

...so hopefully that has gotten you somewhat interested to read these books.  (okay, it doesn't really give any inkling on how good the book is, so take my word)
