Emery's Pirate Party

For weeks, Emery has been talking about having a Pirate Party with her Grandma's.  She wanted to invite Grandma, Grammy and Grandma Tanner.  She said, "Oh, I would invite Grandma Chapin, but she's in heaven."  So when we asked Jac, he said, "No, because I want to be invited." So, Emery altered her plans and invited the Grandpa's and her daddy and brothers.  She wrote out invitations and planned her party.

So on Monday, her Pirate Party dream came true.  We played "Pin the Parrot on the Pirates (shoulder)."  We printed off a picture of Emmy in a pirate costume and she made her own parrot pics.  Emery also showed everyone how to play "Bubble gum, Bubble gum, in a dish."  And last but not least we had a balloon toss.  The night was so enjoyable!  We made cupcakes in ice cream cones and had pirate cups, plates, napkins.  Thanks for everyone who came!  You made my little girls Pirate Party a success!

Here are some pics:

What exactly is Jac doing in the corner? Is that the pin the parrot on the pirate game?

Gma and Gpa look great in their costumes. I wish that I was invited....

O my goodness Britt, this is seriously the cutest idea. What a creative daughter you have, and what a good mom SHE has to let her follow her dreams like this. You are such a good example.
