Preston's 1st Birthday

My baby is one!! It seems like yesterday that I was holding him in my arms at the hospital on the first day he came into this world. Crazy! We had family come over and celebrate his birthday. He got shoes, jammies, clothes and toys. Thank you everyone who came and celebrated Prester's big day! With yummy food and wonderful family, it was a perfect celebration!

I tried a low-fat kind of cupcakes. So...pretty much I was experimenting on birthday cupcakes...so I hoped that they would turn out okay...and for a low-fat cupcake, they tasted great! What I did was mixed a lemon cake mix with diet sprite, put it in the oven for 15 min. They were pretty good. If you would ask me if I would make them again...I'm not quite sure at the moment. Thanks family for experimenting with me! =P

He loved everyone singing to him. He was so excited about the candle, he was obsessed in touching it. (but luckily, didn't get a chance to do so)

Once he got his fingers out of the frosting and figured out that he could eat the cupcake...he loved smearing it all over the table.

Aren't these cute shoes! My mom got them...thank goodness for grandma's!

Oh...by the way, I got a new "do", here it is:

10/13: Ethan being a little boy....has lately been obsessed with poop. =) He has been playing with his teddy-bear and said it was his son and he needed to go poop. So, he put him on the potty and his "son" went poop. Ethan imitated it by "Poop...poop, poop."

8/20: Ethan making up a song and singing:

"Once I was in the store, and I couldn't find my family, and so now I'm in yours." Sad but funny.

8/7: Emery: "Daddy's don't get tired because Daddy's don't have babies."

6/1: Me: "Emmy, do you want a grilled cheese sandwich?"
Emery: "Yes, Mom."
Me: "Ethan, do you want a grilled cheese sandwich?"
Ethan: "No, I want a boy-cheese sandwich."
I guess I said it more like a "girl-cheese sandwich" instead of a grilled cheese sandwich.

5/8: Ethan went to Old Navy with me. I said, "Ethan, I'm so glad you are going to come with me." He said, "I like you, Mom." So I said, "Thank you, my son." Then Ethan said, "You're my favorite Mom."

2/24: Ethan just finished brushing my hair. I told him thank you and he looked at me and smiled and said, "You look like a princess."

2/18: Ethan picked his nose and had a boogie. I told him "Don't wipe it on the blanket." And he answered me, with a tilted head, "Don't eat it?"

1/26: Emery was looking in my mouth and noticed my fillings. It was a good time to teach about dental hygiene. A moment later, she was jumping on me. I told her to stop and then she said, "Sorry, I don't want to hurt your fillings." She laughed. She thought she was so funny.

1/14: Emery and Ethan were exercising and Ethan said: "Mom, feel my heart!" And after I checked it...Ethan said: "My heart is getting bigger, Mom!"

12/30: Jac: "Hey, buddy, be careful...don't pinch."
Ethan: "Hey, dad, you don't have skin."

12/26: Ethan: "I have to go potty, weally bad."

12/17: Emery: "I'm not afraid of anything because all the dinosaurs are dead. They just have dinosaur bones, so yeah...I'm not afraid of anything, not even the dark."
